
Swiss overclocker Christian Ney has set a new DDR3 memory frequency world record by overclocking a single module of G.Skill RipJawsZ series memory past 3.7Ghz (3736Mhz). Previously in December, A Romanian team broke the 3.6Ghz barrier using the Kingston HyperX memory.
The test setup included a Gigabyte GA-A75-UD4H Motherboard and an AMD APU A8-3870K, The test was conducted with the help of LN2 which kept the memory at -197 degrees. You can check out CPU-z screenshots below:
