The technology behemoth has showcased a wave of new products with a varying price tag and all of them will cater to making your home much smarter. The pricing details have also been updated and if you click on them, you’ll be able to check out their features, functionality, and availability. Here are the devices Amazon officially unveiled.
The All-New Echo
The brand new Echo sports a new fabric design, and you can get it in the Twilight Blue, Charcoal, Heather Grey, and Sandstone finishes. It offers the same specifications as the Echo Plus, ranging from a 3-inch woofer, and increased back volume. It will set you back $99.99 and will be available on October 16.
Echo Flex
Echo Flex is a smart plug with Alexa enabled. Costing only $24.99, it can effortlessly plug into a standard electrical outlet, and you can ask Alexa to control compatible smart home devices. The Echo Flex also has a built-in USB port so you can easily charge your smartphone or add an accessory.
Echo Dot
Echo Dot offers a digital clock, with the LED display automatically changing depending on the brightness of your room. It is also relatively easy to set up an alarm on it. The device will cost you $59.99 and it will be released on October 16.
Echo Show 8
The Amazon Echo Show 8 features a vivid 8-inch HD display and is able to churn out clear and powerful audio. It also comes with a decent-sized camera that ships with a built-in shutter. So what’s the display going to be used for? In short, you can ask Alexa to play your favorite episodes on Prime Video, assuming you’ve subscribed to it. You have access to virtually limitless content and for the price of $129.99, you’ll be able to make your home smarter and more entertaining in the process. As for availability, you can purchase the Echo Show 8 from November 21.
Echo Studio
The Amazon Echo Studio will make your living room come to life. It is equipped with five built-in directional speakers and touts a 5.25-inch woofer with 330W of peak power. The Echo Studio is also rocking a 1-inch tweeter and three 2-inch mid-range speakers that are capable of delivering crisp sound. Lossless music playback is possible thanks to a built-in 24-bit DAC. The Echo Studio also features a built-in Zigbee smart home hub which can be used to control compatible smart home devices and it can be paired with various devices to play audio around the whole home. It is priced at $199.99 and will be available starting November 7.
Echo Buds
Amazon’s Echo Buds offer Bose Active Noise Reduction Technology, coupled with hands-free access to Alexa. Each earbud features two outer microphones and one inner microphone that work in unison to reduce ambient noise so Alexa can hear you clearly. Echo Buds are also accompanied by three different-sized ear tips so that they remain in your ears all day long. Each earbud is also IPX4-rated to keep out water droplets. With a single full charge, Echo Buds can provide up to five hours of music playback or four hours of call time. As for the included charging case, it can hold up to three additional charges, resulting in up to 15 hours of music playback or 12 hours of call time. The Amazon Echo Buds cost $129.99 and will be released on October 30.
Echo Frames
Echo Frames are a pair of smart glasses that are prescription-ready and provide hands-free access to Alexa. When you’re wearing the Echo Frames, all you have to do is summon Alexa by voice to do regular tasks such as make phone calls or set a reminder. You can also listen to your favorite podcast, or control compatible smart home devices. Most importantly, Echo Frames are designed to look like regular glasses, meaning they don’t have any additional or unnecessary weight to them, which would otherwise make the experience quite cumbersome.
For Alexa to hear you properly and for you to be heard, there are four beamforming micro speakers. After you’ve purchased your new Echo Frames, you can simply visit your preferred eyewear professional and add prescription lenses to be fit onto the frames. If you want to summon Google Assistant, you will need to long-press the temple. The special price of the Echo Frames is $179.99 and they will only be compatible with Android devices for now.
Echo Loop
The Amazon Echo Loop is a special Alexa-enabled smart ring where you can click on the action button to perform a variety of tasks. For example, you can use Alexa to set up a short phone call and confirm if you’ve locked the door. The Echo Loop can last for an entire day of use with a single charge, and the included charging cradle tops up the battery in just 90 minutes. The device will be available in a black titanium finish and will be available in S, M, L, and XL sizes. The special price of the Echo Loop is $129.99 and it can only be acquired through invitation.
