AMD Crushes Intel In February CPU Sales; Ryzen 7 9800X3D Still At The Top Spot On Amazon With 8000+ Units Shipped

AMD's Ryzen 7 9800X3D is still the king, outselling any other CPU, while Ryzen 5 5600X is still one of the most popular budget CPUs.

AMD Shows No Signs of Slowing Down, Dominating Intel in Feb CPU Sales: Ships Nearly 50,000 Units in a Month With Ryzen 7 9800X3D Leading The Charts

Intel is slowly disappearing from the top-selling spots in various parts of the world. While AMD has been dominating the CPU market for a while now, thanks to its powerful X3D processors, which have boosted the sales of the Ryzen 5000, 7000, and 9000 series, it's now being seen as the most viable option in the current mainstream market.

Despite launching the Arrow Lake-S processors, the only way Intel is keeping up with the current demand and competition is by selling its 13th and 14th gen processors. Its Core Ultra 200S processors remain mostly absent in the top positions in the best-selling CPUs list on Amazon. As per the latest data, AMD has sold as many as 8000+ units of the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D alone, followed by Ryzen 5600X, Ryzen 9700X, Ryzen 7800X3D, and Ryzen 7700X, with each model selling over 3000 units in Feb.

Then there are more budget offerings such as the Ryzen 5500, which is selling quite remarkably as well. At the moment, the Ryzen 9 9950X3D has taken the first spot from Ryzen 7 9800X3D and is currently the fastest gaming and productivity CPU you can find on the market, boasting 16 cores and a 32-thread configuration with an additional L3 cache. These positions vary daily but overall, AMD can maintain a solid grip on the CPU market in various regions.

The current top 10 best-selling CPUs don't have even a single Intel CPU and, as per the Feb stats, the Core i9 14900K sold the most units with 1000+ shipments, followed by the Core i7 12700K. Unfortunately, the Core Ultra 7 265KF is the only Core Ultra 200S processor that sold the most units from the Arrow Lake family with just 200 shipments.

Coming to the overall share, AMD shipped 84.18% of the total CPU shipments in February 2025 while Intel sold just 15.82%. This resulted in a solid 86.03% revenue for team Red and limited the Blue team to just under 14% (13.97% to be exact). This is despite a higher Average Selling Price of $290.71 for AMD CPUs compared to $251.18 for Intel CPUs.

It's likely to go the same way in the coming months and, unless we don't see decent uplifts from Intel, Ryzen CPUs, particularly the X3D ones, will keep topping the sales charts.
