AMD is reportedly planning to launch a brand new RDNA 3 GPU, the Radeon RX 7650 GRE, which falls under the Golden Rabbit Edition series.
AMD Preps New GRE "RDNA 3" GPU, The Radeon RX 7650 GRE, For A CES 2025 Launch
The report comes from Hoang Anh Phu who states that the AMD Radeon RX 7650 GRE (Golden Rabbit Edition) graphics card will be launched at CES 2025. This will be the latest, & probably the last addition to the RDNA 3 family before the introduction of the RDNA 4 lineup which is going to be launched in the first quarter of 2025.

No specifications have been detailed but AMD has launched the Radeon RX 7600 series in two flavors already. The Radeon RX 7600 and the Radeon RX 7600 XT, both feature the Navi 33 GPU core with 32 compute units, 2048 stream processors, 64 AI accelerators, and a 128-bit memory interface with 18 Gbps modules. The XT variant is configured with 16 GB memory and runs at a higher clock speed of up to 2.76 GHz while the non-XT variant comes with 8 GB memory & clock speeds are rated at a peak frequency of 2.66 GHz. The XT variant is spec'd at 190W while the Non-XT variant is spec'd at 165W.

The RX 7600 "Navi 33" series leaves little room for a third refresh but AMD might just go ahead with something as an entry-level solution. The previous "GRE" launches have been limited to Asia Pacific regions but we have more recently seen AMD's willingness to extend the product launch to various regions including the US and EU. The RX 7900 GRE is one such example. A possibility would be that the Radeon RX 7650 GRE makes use of a cut-down Navi 32 GPU which would make for a sensible choice rather than having to release a third GPU with the same Navi 33 chip, same specs but minor variations.
Considering that the Radeon RX 7600 and RX 7600 XT already retail for less than $300 US, the RX 7650 GRE should also fall in a similar price range. It will definitely be an unusual launch from the red team given that they are already planning a budget and mainstream lineup with their next-gen RDNA 4 architecture so let's see how it all pans out.
