All four AMD Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" CPUs are now cheaper than their launch prices & are available at discounted prices on Newegg and Amazon.
AMD Ryzen 9 9950X cheapest at $599 while other Ryzen 9000 CPUs also see significant price cuts
It has been hardly two months since the launch of AMD's Zen 5-based Ryzen 9000 processors and we are already at the point when several chips are available at a much lower price than MSRP. AMD launched Zen 5 chips for desktops in August and while the launch prices weren't that attractive, the current prices are much more appealing.
All four Ryzen 9000 chips in the desktop lineup are on discounts on Newegg and Amazon, making them the cheapest since launch. These include all the Ryzen 5, 7, and 9 series processors, which can be found at the following prices:
On Newegg
- Ryzen 9 9950X: $599.00 (-7.7%)
- Ryzen 9 9900X: $429.00 (-14%)
- Ryzen 7 9700X: $326.75 (-8.9%)
- Ryzen 5 9600X: $249.00 (-3.8%)
The prices on Newegg are more generous. Plus, users will get a free copy of Warhammer 40,000 Space Marin 2 and Unknown 9: Awakening Game Bundles, which is a limited-time deal for users who will purchase any of the Ryzen 9000 CPUs except for the Ryzen 5 9600X. The flagship Ryzen 9 9950X is available for below $600 for the first time and brings a 16-core/32-thread configuration with 4.3/5.7GHz of clock speed.
The Ryzen 9900X is the most discounted CPU(Roughly 16%), bringing the price down by $80. It brings a powerful 12-core/24-thread configuration, clocked 4.4/5.6GHz for high productivity and multitasking performance. Next is the Ryzen 9700X, which is also one of the best productivity 8-core/16-thread CPUs, bringing 3.8/5.5GHz of clock speed, and is around $24 cheaper.
Perhaps, one of the most exciting discounts is the Ryzen 5 9600X, which can be now bought for under $250, making it an excellent alternative to Zen 4-based mid-range chips.

Amazon is also providing some satisfactory discounts on these CPUs. While the Ryzen 9 9950X seems to be unavailable at the moment, other Ryzen chips are still available at decent discounts. You will still pay a bit more on Ryzen 9900X and 9600X compared to Newegg, but they are still at lower prices than official MSRPs. Additionally, you will be getting both games with the Ryzen 9900X and 9700X.
