ASUS has released its limited edition AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics card featuring the Warhammer: 40,000 Space Marine 2 theme.

The giveaway for the ASUS AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 Edition GPU will start at Gamescom on 23rd August

ASUS's new AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 limited edition graphics card, which the company teased last week will be scheduled for a giveaway at Gamescom.

Unlike previously thought, the company isn't making a lot of these but only 20 of this special edition are made for gamers. Moreover, you can't simply purchase it from a retail store as these are reserved only for the giveaway, which is going to be held on the 23rd of September at Gamescom where various hardware manufacturers are showcasing their new products.

The ASUS Radeon RX 7900 XTX is the flagship GPU from AMD based on the RDNA 3 architecture. This new edition is based on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 game, which is set to launch on 9th September 2024. The card is, therefore, built on the game's theme and resembles the armor design of the protagonist, Demetrian Titus. The card boasts a triple-fan design with a blue shroud and yellowish heatsink to match the Demtrian Titus armor.

The ASUS Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics card will feature the same specs as the reference design, featuring the AMD Navi 31 XTX "RDNA 3" GPU core with 6144 stream processors, 24GB GDDR6 VRAM on a 384-bit memory bus, and a TDP of 355W.

However, ASUS didn't share its clock speeds, which could be higher than the reference design. As per the giveaway, the card is based on the TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XTX GPU, which is factory-overclocked with 2615MHz of boost clock in OC mode. This is 117MHz higher than the reference design and should improve the performance by a small margin.

ASUS says that it made the card exclusive for giveaways and has made several themed builds exclusive for giveaways as well. The Radeon RX 7900 XTX Warhammer 40,000 edition is particularly appealing since it is a collector's item and will be one of the hardest to acquire.

It's possible that some of the winners of the giveaway may end up selling this edition on eBay for a much higher price and it won't be surprising if Warhammer fans are willing to pay more for these. AMD also includes Space Marine 2 and Unknown9 Awakening in its latest Ryzen/Radeon bundle.
