Best Buy Reveals ROG Strix G16 With Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 And RTX 5070 Ti as the Cheapest Gaming Laptop. ASUS Also Unveils its Pricing for 2025 Models
We are likely going to see the first batch of RTX 50 series-based gaming laptops very soon as a handful of retailers have started listing them. The first ones to appear are from ASUS and while ASUS has started assigning prices to the respective models, Best Buy has also listed a couple of models.
Currently, 16 ASUS gaming laptops come with the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070 mobile GPUs. The configuration can include processors from either AMD or Intel and, since we have recently seen ASUS preparing the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D-based laptops as well, the total count of these laptops is likely to increase in the coming days.
Out of 16 laptop models, ASUS has assigned the price tags to six models, including ROG Strix and Zephyrus gaming laptops. The prices start at $3,199 and can go up to $4,299 for the top-end model based on Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX. However, we have yet to see a gaming laptop with an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX paired with the RTX 5090, which could probably retail for a higher price tag. Nonetheless, Best Buy did reveal an AMD processor-based ASUS gaming laptop, featuring the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and RTX 5070 Ti GPU, priced at just $1,899, which is probably the cheapest one.

ASUS does have another model that features the RTX 5080 but hasn't revealed its price yet. At the moment, you can see four different ASUS gaming laptops with RTX 50 series GPUs on Best Buy, priced at up to $4,199. On the other hand, MSI too has debuted its first gaming laptop packed with the RTX 5080 GPU. It's the HP Omen MAX 16" gaming laptop, featuring the Core Ultra 9 275HX, 32GB RAM, and 1 TB SSD at $2,699.

According to the reports, the RTX 50 series gaming laptops are expected to launch in March since NVIDIA will be releasing its RTX 50 mobile GPUs that month. In the same time frame, NVIDIA is going to reveal the RTX 5070 and probably both the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060.
