ASUS has unveiled its latest Z890 motherboard, namely the ROG Maximus Z890 Hero BTF, featuring all its connectors on the back. This particular model belongs to the high-end category, boasting strong power delivery, connectivity, and excellent component compatibility with Intel Arrow Lake 200S processors and latest-gen hardware such as PCI-E 5.0 GPUs, M.2 SSDs, and superfast DDR5 memory.

This motherboard is essentially an iteration of the ASUS ROG Maximus Z890 Hero motherboard, featuring almost identical specifications and aesthetics. The motherboard brings 22 SPS power stages, large heatsinks for VRM and chipset, and the ROG accents for premium performance and looks. It's perfect for Intel Arrow Lake users who want a minimalistic or neat PC build, having all the wires hidden from sight.

On the other hand, ASUS also brought a BTF platform for AMD Ryzen 9000 CPU owners. Even though it isn't the X870/X870E motherboard, it still offers plenty of modern specs and features. It is the TUF Gaming B850-BTF Wi-Fi, a connector-less variant of the recently unveiled TUF Gaming B850 Wi-Fi motherboard with most of its connectors on the back.

The board brings an AM5 socket for Zen 4 and Zen 5 chips and fully supports CPU and memory overclocking. It offers PCI-E 5.0 x16 slots for latest-gen graphics cards and PCI-E 5.0 M.2 slots for fast SSDs. It's unclear whether ASUS has any plans to release AMD X870/X870E BTF motherboards, but if you can't wait anymore, the TUF Gaming B850-BTF Wi-Fi is here, which will be an excellent board for AMD Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs or even non-X3D CPUs.

On the motherboard front, the last one is the big gun that ASUS has been holding back for a while, and it is the first APEX design for AMD platforms, the ROG Crosshair X870E APEX. This motherboard has already broken several world records by legendary overclocker, SAFEDISK, and features a super design for enthusiasts.
