Colorful's newest iGame DDR5 RAM kit can achieve an ultra-low latency of just CL28 at 6400 MT/s and can reach up to 8000 MT/s with CL40.
Colorful's Newest iGame DDR5 Memory Modules To Come With Exceptional Performance, Credits To Low-Latency Timings
Colorful recently released its DDR5 memory specialized for AMD platforms, featuring high memory speeds, reaching up to 10,000MT/s in extreme cases, and ultra-low latency, but it looks like the new 'iGame' DDR5 memory, teased by the manufacturer, is another treat for Team Red consumes, offering AMD EXPO compatibility and exceptional latency timings.

The memory kit will be available in various sizes and configurations that start at 6000 MT/s speed. As per the company's claim, the iGame DDR5 memory can reach up to 6400 MT/s at just CL28. The CL28 is the default latency for 6000 MT/s speed but with manual overclocking with AMD EXPO turned on, it can deliver 400 MT/s higher speed at the same latency, resulting in improved performance in games and applications.
Typically, achieving over 6000 MT/s speeds on AM5 platforms can be difficult, but the iGame DDR5 series is aimed at attaining up to 8000 MT/s. At that frequency, expect the CAS Latency to be 40. While Colorful doesn't have 16GB RAM modules with that frequency, it does have 24 GB modules that can reach 8000 MT/s with overclocking.

The 6000 MT/s 16GB memory modules are available in sets of 2 and can achieve up to 6800 MT/s of speed with CL32. As per the reports, these memory modules will use SK Hynix's A-Die on the 16 GB models and have non-laminated thermal pads to improve thermal conductivity for faster heat dissipation.

We mostly see DDR5 RAM making world records on Z890 motherboards, but seeing such results on the AM5 motherboards is rare. The newest memory kit from Colorful may make it possible to reach high speed at low latency, similar to what we saw recently with Kingston's 192 GB RAM kit with four modules installed on a MEG Z890 GODLIKE motherboard, reaching a good 6400 MT/s. Even though the latency was CL48, this was expected, since dual DIMMs per channel cannot reach CL28 at this point in time.
Nonetheless, with improved support, we may see DDR5 modules hitting 7000 MT/s with CL28 or even higher frequencies in the future. Interestingly, the Colorful iGame DDR5 "CL28" memory kit is listed on the Chinese marketplace JD.com for around $118, which is indeed a decent price tag considering the performance. Global launch and availability is uncertain for now.
