Here’s a bit more detail on Alan Wake’s journey into The Fog, courtesy of Behaviour…

“This isn’t fiction—it's real. Alan Wake, star of the critically acclaimed Alan Wake franchise, is coming into The Fog as Dead by Daylight’s newest Survivor. Players can step into the shoes of the troubled writer in this collaboration between Behaviour Interactive and Remedy Entertainment.

And of course, it wouldn’t be Alan Wake without the actors that bring him to life. Dead by Daylight’s Alan Wake Chapter features both the likeness of actor Ilkka Villi, who plays Alan during the franchise’s live-action scenes, as well as Matthew Porretta, who has voiced him throughout the franchise. Players will be able to hear brand-new, original voice lines as Alan Wake faces his latest deadly challenge in The Fog.”

And here are Alan Wake’s unique perks

  • Champion of Light: While you are holding a flashlight, this Perk activates. When you are shining a flashlight, you have 50% Haste. When you successfully blind the Killer, they also gain 20% Hindered for 6 seconds. This effect cannot stack with itself. Then, this Perk goes on cool-down for 80/70/60 seconds.
  • Boon: Illumination: Press and hold the Ability button 1 near a Dull or Hex Totem to bless it and create a Boon Totem. Soft chimes ring out in a 24-meter range. Survivors inside your Boon Totem’s range see the aura of all Chests and all Generators in blue. If you have a lit Boon Totem, you cleanse or bless Totems 6/8/10% faster. You can only bless one Totem at a time. All Boon Perks are active on your Boon Totem.
  • Deadline: This Perk activates when you are injured. Skill Checks appear 6/8/10% more frequently when repairing or healing and appear in random places. The penalty for missing Skill Checks is reduced by 50%.

Dead by Daylight can be played on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Switch, and mobile platforms. Alan Wake launches on January 30, although you can try him out now via the latest PC public test build. Alan Wake 2 is available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.
