With Blue Origin's New Glenn having successfully sent its second stage to orbit earlier today and SpaceX's Starship due for its seventh integrated test flight later today, Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk are fawning over each others' rocket launches on X. Bezos shared multiple angles of New Glenn's lift off and flight on the site following its launch, and he was congratulated by Musk and SpaceX's chief operating officer and president Gwynne Shotwell as well.
In return, the Amazon billionaire and Blue Origin founder wished Musk luck for the upcoming launch, which will fly the world's largest under-development rocket for the seventh time.

After Blue Origin's successful New Glenn launch after midnight earlier today, Musk took to X and congratulated Bezos and the Blue Origin team in an X post. He was joined almost immediately by SpaceX's Gwynne Shotwell, who congratulated " the Blue Origin team for reaching orbit!" just minutes later.
Blue Origin's New Glenn had a successful mission as it successfully sent its payload to orbit on the first attempt. Like the SpaceX Falcon 9, the rocket's first stage is designed to land on a ship, and while the firm ambitiously tried to land it on the first attempt, it lost the booster during the attempt.
Unlike SpaceX, the New Glenn spent years in development ahead of today's historic mission so a successful launch was more certain than the first Starship integrated flight as SpaceX is a follower of the learn-as-you-go approach when it comes to building and testing rockets.
In response to Musk, Bezos wished him and SpaceX luck for the upcoming Starship Flight 7. According to SpaceX's latest update made an hour back, the mission is a go for launch as the weather in the Boca Chica area is more favorable for launch than it was yesterday. Starship is slated to lift off at 6 pm Eastern time later today with an hour-long launch window.
While SpaceX will either catch the 232-feet-tall Super Heavy booster with the tower or land it in the water, the upper stage ship will make it halfway around the world for a splashdown in the Indian Ocean.
Musk responded to Bezos' post by thanking him in another post. He then proceeded to share multiple posts to celebrate their newfound camaraderie. One post saw the SpaceX chief comment that "Step Brothers is the perfect meme for" Bezos and him with the accompanying post suggesting that the two had become best friends. Another post included a clip from the same film mentioned in the previous post.
SpaceX's Starship test flights are the most widely followed launches in the space industry. Starship is the world's largest rocket under-development, and should SpaceX secure an operational launch license, then it will become the largest rocket in the world. Bezos' New Glenn is a heavy-lift vehicle which will join Starship in sending the first astronauts to the Moon under NASA's Artemis program.
