Enshrouded

Keen Games is celebrating one year since the action RPG/survival game Enshrouded launched in early access. Of course, there's the obligatory video with glimpses from the community, but there's also lots of news about the game's future.

To start with, the fifth content update, titled Pact of the Flame, is available now. Its highlights include the addition of in-game text chat for multiplayer sessions as well as voice chat (when enabled, current options are proximity voice chat or a global, server-wide, plus a new Social menu), the introduction of emotes (accessible through a dedicated emote wheel), a first-person camera mode for building, new props, cosmetics, and materials with over 70 new items, two new building materials. Moreover, new quests for more vanity items are available, including a special Serpent Warrior-themed set just in time for the new Chinese Lunar Year. A Year of Enshrouded

Keen Games also provided an updated roadmap for 2025 while confirming that Enshrouded won't launch this year as previously planned but in Spring 2026. The following additions are on the list:

There will also be ongoing improvements to key areas of the game, like performance, skill trees, combat, world, building, and lighting. Moreover, version 1.0 will coincide with the console launch of Enshrouded. That's also when Keen Games plans to release a Creative mode and more UGC (user generated content) features.
