Samsung started this year by unveiling its much-anticipated flagship series, the Galaxy S25 lineup. The main selling point remained the promising AI features that made their way to the series. While the tech giant brought some noteworthy upgrades to its new models, there seem to be some technical issues that keep coming up with the phones, leaving users dismayed and pondering over their purchases. A while back, we covered a user complaining about a camera issue that compromised the quality of images, and now another user took his frustration out over a charging issue with their new Galaxy S25.

Galaxy S25 users seem to be disappointed as one after another issue comes up with their new phones

The year 2024 was not the most optimal for Samsung in terms of any significant upgrades or innovations brought in, and users kept on highlighting how the improvements were merely incremental. The South Korean tech giant took notice of these complaints and decided to address them this year with its Galaxy S25 series and promised some major upgrades. While the camera improvement, design changes, and AI features have intrigued many users who got their hands on the new models, the latest series seems to have some technical issues that have disappointed users yet again.

Several Galaxy S25 users have reported issues with the 45W fast charging and shared their frustration on Reddit and Samsung's community forums. Complaints range from inconsistent charging speeds to charging being stopped and then restarted. While Samsung has rolled out the first software update for the new series, it is still not certain if this problem has been fully resolved.

The 45W charging standard, although it is not as fast as the competition, seems to have a better offering. Even with the current fast wired charging feature, users are experiencing slow charging that lacks consistency and a seamless experience. Some Redditors suggested that fast-charged older Galaxy flagship models do not work properly with the new series, and it can take up to hours for the device to reach a significant battery level.

The issue seems to persist even when the phone displays "Super Charging 2.0," and some users share the difficulty of getting a stable charge since the devices keep on connecting and disconnecting, leading to major inconvenience for the users. Even if you have a 45W charger with a 5A USB-C cable, it does not seem to help. Samsung Italia has taken notice of the ongoing complaints and promised users that it will be fixed in a future update. Samsung suggested using the 3A cable instead of the 5A for those experiencing the problem,

While such issues in new phones are not unusual, the company should be quick to roll out a resolution as they can tarnish the brand's image and frustrate even loyal users.
