Someone has listed a custom Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU for sale in Slovakia but at a whopping 1600 Euros.

Radeon RX 9070 XT Has Started to Get Scalped for a Whopping RTX 4090 Price Tag

With roughly three weeks before the official launch, the Radeon RX 9070 XT GPUs have been supplied to retailers in various regions. Since the embargo on the sales is expected to be lifted on 6th March, which was confirmed in a recent leak, one should wait some more before buying the GPUs at their official MSRPs.

However, scalpers would want every opportunity to profit off early sales by selling the GPUs on the black market by a huge margin. Such a case has appeared on Reddit, where a user based in Slovakia is selling a custom Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU. This is the Gigabyte Gaming OC edition, for which the user is asking €1,600 or US$1,679, which is much higher than what would be the official MSRP for this GPU.

It appears as if this is twice the price of the card as in previous leaks, we have seen the RX 9070 XT being listed from $699 up to $849 for a premium edition. Nonetheless, we discourage spending even $100 more than what the GPU would cost originally. While the post on Reddit has been deleted, the video of GPU unboxing still exists on X.

It appears from the box design that the recent leak about the PSU wattage recommendation is true. While this one requires 850W of power supply, the other one requires 900W capacity. It's unlikely that the GPU will ship with a TDP of 400W or above, and as per several reports, the GPU is said to operate at up to 260W for the reference edition and up to 330W for the premium OC designs.

The Gigabyte Gaming OC RX 9070 XT is a factory-overclocked card, featuring a triple-fan design and three 8-pin power connectors. It is a 2.5-slot card and measures 29 cm in length and 12 cm in width. AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT is supposedly competing with the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and will be revealed on 28th February, followed by the retail launch a week later. Around the same time, NVIDIA will launch its RTX 5070, but the 5070 Ti is just 5 days away from the retail launch.
