Today, Sony and Arrowhead have released the official Helldivers 2 PC system requirements. The specifications are quite demanding, especially since there's been no mention of advanced features like ray tracing being available in the game. To play at 4K and 60 frames per second, you'll need an RTX 4070 Ti or RX 7900 XTX.

It was also confirmed that Helldivers 2 would support cross-play between PC and PlayStation 5, although that's not really a surprise. Sony had long indicated it would try to release live service games day and date on PC and console to expand the online player base from the get-go. It only makes sense to maximize that potential through cross-play functionality.
What's notable, however, is that the game will require having a PlayStation Network account even when playing the game on PC. This is the first time there is such a requirement, although Sony had hinted at the possibility in August 2022 via the PlayStation games for PC website.
Pre-orders for Helldivers 2 are open now on both platforms. The game due on February 8 is priced at $39.99, although there's also a Super Citizen Edition. For $20 more, you'll get the following in-game items:
- ‘DP-53 Savior of the Free’ Armor Set.
- ‘Will of the People’ Cape.
- ‘MP-98 Knight’ Weapon.
- Super Citizen Status.
- Stratagem Hero Ship Game.
- ‘Steeled Veterans’ Premium Warbond.
All pre-orders of Helldivers 2 are getting the following bonuses for free:
- 'TR-7 Ambassador of the Brand' - Promotional armor made by SUMY Corp. as part of a highly successful marketing campaign for frozen yogurt.
- 'TR-62 Knight' - Crafted to deliver Justice to the darkest crevices of the galaxy.
- 'TR-9 Cavalier of Democracy' - Bearers of this armor ride no equine mount, but are nonetheless borne to battle atop the trusty steed of Liberty.
