Sony is expected to soon launch the next version of it's Xperia smartphones, the Sony Xperia Z3. We've seen quite a few pictures of the Sony Xperia Z3 for you before. The Sony Xperia Z3 is expected to be a minor upgrade over the current Xperia Z2 in terms of performance specifications and hardware. But the Xperia Z3 is not the only smartphone the company is expected to launch. Pictures have also been regularly surfacing of what seems to be the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact.
Well it looks like that the Xperia Z3 Compact is definitely coming to us, and coming soon. Previous pictures leaked even though appeared to look like a Xperia Compact smartphone, were perhaps mistakenly tagged as the Xperia Z3. Phonearena has spotted what seems to be hardware specifications of the Xperia Z3 Compact on the FCC website. The specifications spotted shed light on several aspects of the phone and help us get a better look at the device that previous leaks permitted. Sony is expected to launch the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact two days before this year's IFA.
Two Variants Of Xperia Z3 Compact Spotted In FCC Database - Both Feature LTE Connectivity
Two variants of the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact have been spotted at the FCC. Listed as PM-0810 and PM-0812, both of them have identical sets of features apart from LTE band support. Out of the two, PM-8012 appears to be the carrier specific version since it includes support only for bands 5 and 7. The PM-0810 on the other hand supports 2, 4, 5, 7, 13, and 17 meaning that it could be the international version of the device. Both the device come supporting GSM, WCDMA and LTE as well as Bluetooth, Wifi a/b/g/n/ac, ANT + and NFC.
The FCC database has also shed some light on the design and dimension specifications of the Xperia Z3 Compact. The Xperia Z3 Compact comes with a 4.57 inch diagonal display. In addition to this, the device is 5 inches tall and 2.56 inches wide. The battery of the Xperia Z3 Compact in non-user replacable.
