HYTE, the famous PC hardware manufacturer, has announced a widespread bump in product prices, citing the current US administration's "tariff fiasco."
HYTE Becomes One Of The First Manufacturers To React Towards Trump's New Tariffs, Announces a Massive Price Hike
Well, it seems like the consumer tech industry has finally started to respond to Trump's tariff policy by announcing a notable increase in pricing, and HYTE has become one of the first mainstream companies to reveal how they will react to the new tariffs. In a post on X, the company disclosed that the current US administration has made it difficult for the firm to sustain the business, and to ensure a seamless experience, the firm has decided to implement a price bump across several of its products.

The above price changes show that we are looking at an average of around 15%, with the more expensive products seeing a higher increase of up to 20%. While HYTE certainly isn't as big of a mainstream hardware manufacturer as some of its counterparts, they do have similar supply chains, which shows that other rivals, such as Corsair or Razer, might decide to implement a similar price increase in order to keep up with the business costs which have soared massively due to Trump tariffs.

Apart from HYTE, it was recently disclosed that ACER too is deciding on a price hike, going as high as 10% on its mainstream products, and it was claimed that companies like ASUS, DELL, and HP would likely follow. Companies are a bit reluctant to reveal their product price changes for now, and it might be that prices start to grow without any formal notice, so we'll have to keep in check on the retail markets.
While Trump's tariff measures might benefit the US to some extent, it is undoubtedly a devastating move for consumers since it would ultimately lead to products becoming more expensive and difficult to afford. It was reported in the past that, with Trump's trade policy, consumer tech could become as much as 40% more expensive, and this includes laptops, pre-built PCs, and all kinds of electronics, which indicates that things aren't looking good for the markets.
