Intel's Next-Gen Z890 Motherboards & Core Ultra 200 "Arrow Lake" CPUs Hit Shelves on 17th October
Intel is preparing to launch its next-gen Arrow Lake Desktop CPU platform soon. We have heard that the company plans to do a formal debut of its platform on the 10th of October, but now we have a new report that states that the official launch will take place on the 17th of October so a week after announcement.
The sales of AMD platform solutions have been relatively active recently, and there are more and more inquiries from consumers. Unfortunately, the supply of AMD 9000 CPU is insufficient. INTEL has no choice but to work hard to deal with the problems of I7\I9. The upstream end is still solving the problem. The CPU warranty is extended for 2 to 5 years, and it is negotiating with motherboard manufacturers to jointly solve the instability problem of 13th and 14th generation CPUs.
Therefore, it is estimated that in the future, if the INTEL series motherboards want to completely solve the CPU problem and get back what they have lost, they may only rely on the new generation of CPUs and new platform motherboard products to regain their advantages and start again.
At the same time, it is confirmed that INTEL's new generation motherboard platform Z890 series new products will be officially launched on October 17.
Intel's Arrow Lake-S Desktop CPUs will debut under the Core Ultra 200 naming scheme and will initially include three chips, the Core Ultra 9 285K, Core Ultra 7 265K, and Core Ultra 5 245K. The CPUs will be targeted at enthusiasts and will also come in "F" flavors which will exclude the iGPU portion of the chip. All three chips will be based on the new Lion Cove P-Core, Skymont E-Core & Xe-LPG (Alchemist) iGPU architectures with previous reports highlighting the use of TSMC's N3B process node.
As far as specifications go, the Intel Core Ultra 200 "Arrow Lake" Desktop CPUs will come in 24 core, 20 core and 14-core flavors in the start with up to 5.7 GHz clock speeds, up to 36 MB of L3 cache, a TDP range starting at 125W (PL1) and 4 Xe-LPG cores. The chips will also run cooler & consume 100 watts lower power than the Raptor Lake offerings.

In addition to the Intel Core Ultra 200 "Arrow Lake" Desktop CPUs, motherboard vendors such as ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, ASRock, Biostar, & Colorful will also release their respective Z890 boards that utilize the latest LGA 1851 socket. This platform will feature DDR5-6000 native memory support & upgraded IO capabilities and bolstered designs. Intel will also have a Non-K and "T" series lineup by CES 2025 which will be unveiled alongside the rest of the 800-series chipsets.
