Intel Arrow Lake-S Desktop CPU Platform Leaks Out: 24 CPU Cores, 8 AI Cores, DDR5-6400, 800-Series Motherboard Support 1

Intel's next-generation Arrow Lake-H CPUs for laptops are already being sampled as one 16-core configuration has been spotted in a shipping manifesto.

Intel Arrow Lake-H "2nd Gen Core Ultra" To Continue Building Upon Meteor Lake-H With Newer CPU Cores, Enhanced GPU Cores & More

The listing of the Intel Arrow Lake-H sample was spotted on a shipping manifest by Harukaze5719, which reveals tiny details about the expected CPU core configuration. The mentioned Arrow Lake-H SKU features 6 Performance cores based on the Lion Cove architecture & 8 Efficiency cores based on the Skymont architecture. There are also going to be 2 LP E-Cores which are expected to adopt the Crestmont architecture, the same E-Core technology used by Meteor Lake. This will limit Arrow Lake's VPU capabilities a bit compared to Lunar Lake which will offer Skymont E-Cores on both E & LP E-Cores.

Apart from the CPU cores, the manifest has also mentioned the existence of "GT2" graphics for the 2nd Gen Core Ultra "Arrow Lake" CPU. The GT2 designation is for the mainstream integrated GPUs which in the case of Meteor Lake offer up to 8 Xe-cores, however, as mentioned earlier, the Arrow Lake-H CPUs will actually come with the "Xe-LPG Plus" which includes dedicated XMX units which will aid in improving Intel's upscaling technologies.

The shipping document also mentions the Meteor Lake as well, suggesting that Team Blue is gearing up for the launch, which occurs on the 14th of December. For a quick rundown on the Arrow Lake-H, the lineup is expected to feature the next-generation Lion Cove P-Core & Skymont E-Core architecture and will have the compute tile fabricated on the Intel 20A process node while the GPU is expected to be fabricated on the TSMC 3nm process node. Moreover, the inclusion of a dedicated VPU, which will start by the Meteor Lake, is exciting as well, since it would open up immense possibilities in the generative AI sector at a consumer level.

Intel's Arrow Lake-H CPUs are almost a year away from launch so there are still a lot of missing bits and pieces regarding the lineup, in terms of what we have seen by now, the lineup is expected to offer plenty to its consumers, especially to those who want the best performance efficiencies from their SoC.
