Apple released iOS 17.4.1 a few days ago with a handful of bug fixes and performance enhancements alongside essential security updates for the iPhone. However, some users have been complaining of boot loop issues after the update. While it is not clear what the update brings to the table that is different than the previous build, note that it does feature a different build number. The new iOS 17.4.1 build comes with a build number 21E237, while the older build comes with a 21E236 build number.
The update was discovered by MacRumors contributor Aaron, who did not share much related to the variations in the latest build. Remember that iOS 17.4.1 is a minor update, considering it does not bring anything new to the table. It is also unclear why Apple released a revised version of the build because it is not confirmed that the update will fix boot loop issues on the iPhone. However, there is a high chance that the update will fix the prevailing bug.
If you are experiencing boot loop issues on your iPhone, note that you can not install the revised iOS 17.4.1 version through your iPhone. This means that you will have to utilize your Mac to update to the latest version. If you are unfamiliar with it, connect your iPhone to your Mac and update it through the Finder app on macOS. If you have a Windows computer, you will be required to use the iTunes app to download and install the latest iOS 17.4.1 update on your iPhone.
