In addition to the Nokia 1, MWC 2018 witnessed the release of several other Android Go devices. Android Go is a version of Android optimized for low-end devices with limited processing power. The Android fork comes with customized Google apps such as Files Go, Maps Go, Assistant Go Youtube Go and more. Low-cost devices are in high demand in new markets such as India, primarily in small cities and villages. Let's take a look at the some of the Android Go powered devices we can expect to see.

Lava is a relatively obscure company and focusses its attention mostly on budget devices for the Indian market.Lava has announced Z50 as it first Android Go smartphone. The smartphone features a 4.5-inch display with Gorilla Glass protection. It runs on MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of internal storage, with micro SD expansion capabilities. The smartphone will be available starting next month.

Alcatel 1X

Telecommunication giant Alcatel's smartphone game has been relatively weak. Their devices never did stand out above competitions, and it looks like their latest budget offering just might have what it takes. The Alcatel 1X features a 5.3-inch display. It runs a MediaTek 6739 processor. is available in 1/2GB RAM and 8/16GB storage variants, both expandable via micro SD card. It has an 8-megapixel camera on the back. There’s also a 13-megapixel rear camera variant of the smartphone. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel camera. Other features include a 2,460mAh battery, The base variant with 1GB of RAM will be available in April starting €100 and the top-end model for €110.

ZTE Tempo Go

The ZTE Tempo Go runs on Qualcomm’s ancient Snapdragon 210 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of onboard memory which can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. The device sports a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera and is powered by a 2,200mAh battery. The smartphone is already on sale in the US and is priced at $80.
