LG has released two new gaming monitors with ultra-wide and curved OLED displays for enthusiasts, bringing both modern gaming features and WebOS for streaming.
LG Launches UltraGear 45GX90SA and 39GX90SA OLED Gaming Monitors With up to 240Hz Refresh Rate, 800R Curvature, and Built-in WebOS for Streaming Services
LG has rolled out two new enthusiast-grade gaming monitors for gamers, bringing large screens on the desks for those who want an immersive gaming experience. Equipped with 800R curved displays, each of these is highly immersive for gaming and also offer streaming services for your favorite movies, TV shows, and more.
The two new monitors are released in the UltraGear family, boasting OLED panels with up to 1300 nits of peak brightness. The minimum brightness will be 250 nits but can be increased to 275 nits in the SDR mode. Both models, 45GX90SA and 39GX90SA, are identical in features and specifications but are different in screen sizes. The former comes with a larger 45-inch display and the latter is a smaller option with a 39-inch screen size.
Each of these is equipped with high-contrast 1.5M:1 ratio OLED panels for true blacks and excellent color reproduction, ensuring users get crisp and vivid visuals in games. On top of that, the monitors can run at up to 240Hz of refresh rate for fluid visuals and are extremely responsive with just 0.03ms of response time. Since the monitors offer an 800R curvature, they are more ideal for gaming from the desk, ensuring the monitor wraps around the field of view for a highly immersive experience.
The monitors boast a WQHD (3440x1440p) resolution and are G-Sync compatible for eliminating screen tears for pleasant gaming. Apart from top-notch specs for gaming, each of these is equipped with WebOS, an interface that lets you access your favorite streaming services right from the monitor's menu without having to connect to a PC. So, you can enjoy Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and more such services just like a Smart TV or can even play games through cloud gaming services.
Of course, with so many features, the price tags of each of these displays are quite higher than what you would normally see on regular OLED gaming monitors. The 39-inch model costs $1599 while the 49-inch monitor is priced at $1699. Therefore, these aren't for the masses but for enthusiasts who want the best possible display for the price.
