AI is something that has started spreading its wings, and it is slowly covering everything we know. Now, I am not sure who fears the idea of AI reaching a singularity. I don't want to think that far and just enjoy what it offers right now. Meta has just announced Meta AI and has also given us a glimpse of what platforms are getting it.

Meta AI is more than just a virtual assistant, and it is now going to start rolling out to users in the U.S. You will be able to interact with this AI across all the messenger apps that the company has. This means that the AI is going to work across Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
Meta has mentioned that users are also getting the text-to-image generation feature. Meta AI on both Messenger and Instagram now has a feature called reimagine that will take AI-generated images and will allow your friends in the group chat to iterate upon it with more text prompts. All they will have to do is press and hold onto the generated image and add a prompt, which will result in a new revision. I think this is perhaps one of the coolest features.
In addition to image generation, Meta AI can also be used to discover Reels, which seems like an interesting feature. You can ask the AI to show the videos in your AI chat, and you will actually be handed Reels that are relevant to what you asked. It's a very neat feature, to be honest.
Moving over to Facebook, Meta AI will actually help you with the creation of birthday greetings, editing your feed posts, drafting introductions to your Facebook dating profile, and more. The company is also testing a feature where you will be able to create and share AI-generated images on Facebook.
There are more features, though, as Meta AI can be used to allow creators to respond to their community messages in a better, more seamless way. The AI can even go ahead and draft relevant replies to the DMs for all creators. Meta AI is not just going to let you have fun; it will also deliver a number of options for you. For instance, the AI will actually be able to give you suggestions for post comments on community chat topics in groups, as well as serve search results and create better product descriptions in Shops.
AI image generation is another thing that is coming with Meta AI, but it will only be available in the U.S. at the time of writing on both mobile and desktop.
Considering how Google introduced Gemini 1.0 only yesterday, Meta's timing could not be better, and the fact that this AI model seems to have been in the work for some time, given the scope of features that Meta has talked about. Of course, it is still limited to the U.S., but I cannot wait for the feature to start rolling out to more regions because it definitely will be a fun one to try out.
