Netflix has decided to go ahead and add Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy to its catalog. The streaming platform will start offering the Definition Edition of GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas, and if you have been looking for a nice gaming experience on your smartphone, then this is the way to go.
The Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy on Netflix seems like an excellent idea if you want to have some fun on your phone
Netflix has confirmed that the Definitive Edition trilogy is heading to its streaming platform on December 14. Since the games are part of a single trilogy bundle, you will just have to download one to be able to get access to all three of the games.
Here is how Netflix describes all three games:
- Grand Theft Auto III – The Definitive Edition: Welcome to Liberty City. Where it all began. With a massive and diverse open world, a wild cast of characters from every walk of life, and the freedom to explore at will, Grand Theft Auto III puts the dark, intriguing, and ruthless world of crime at your fingertips.
- Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition: Welcome to the 1980s. From the decade of big hair and pastel suits comes the story of one man’s rise to the top of the criminal pile. Grand Theft Auto returns with Tommy Vercetti’s tale of betrayal and revenge in a neon-soaked tropical town full of excess and brimming with possibilities.
- Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition: It’s the early ’90s. After a couple of cops frame him for homicide, Carl ‘CJ’ Johnson is forced on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets.
Now, it is worth noting that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy is available free of cost for anyone who has a Netflix subscription. You can have the subscription via the App Store, Google Play Store, or the streaming service itself. The trilogy is now available for pre-ordering, so you can go ahead and start right away.
Last but not least, all three games are updated for mobile to ensure that your experience is as good as it can get. You get to relive the golden era of Grand Theft Auto, which I believe is one of the best eras of gaming, and honestly, I am genuinely looking forward to these games on the mobile platform. I am not a mobile gamer at all, but I will be giving it a try once the trilogy is out.
As far as the release date is concerned, the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy is going to go live on Netflix on December 14. So, you have a little over two weeks before the games are finally available to play.
