The RTX 5070 has started dropping in prices and this time, it's from a big UK retailer, which is selling a custom edition at price lower than MSRP.
GeForce RTX 5070 Sees a £20 Price Cut on Overclockers UK: RTX 5080 Also Dropped in Prices
The NVIDIA RTX 50 series GPUs have started to drop in prices, and we have already reported two such instances. One was Walmart selling RTX 50 GPUs below MSRP and the other was a Japanese retailer, which was selling RTX 5070 for less than MSRP. Even though the price drops aren't frequent or common, at least there is some relief.
Another instance showed that the RTX 50 series GPUs are also seeing price drops in the UK. The popular UK retailer, Overclockers UK, listed the Gainward RTX 5070 Python III for a price lower than the MSRP. The GPU was listed at £519, which is £20 cheaper than the official MSRP set by NVIDIA for the UK market. This is a roughly 4% discount, which at this point is difficult to get in most parts of the world.

The RTX 50 GPUs have been significantly overpriced since launch and the RTX 5070 is commonly seen for around $700 in the NA market and at similar price tags in the EU region as well. The Gainward RTX 5070 Python III uses a triple-fan cooling solution and, although the GPU features the same 2512 MHz boost clock as the reference edition, it will be better in thermal performance out of the box.
£519 converts to US$668 and the price includes 20% VAT. Therefore, the price comes down to US$556, which is nearly the official MSRP of the RTX 5070 in the NA market. Similarly, we saw Overclockers UK also reducing the price of Palit RTX 5080 Gaming Pro from over £1,100 to just £999. It's somewhat higher than the official MSRP announced by NVIDIA but is a far better deal than the custom editions listing for nearly £1,500.

Nonetheless, it will be rare to see such low prices from top vendors like ASUS or MSI right now, but it seems like price drops are inevitable as GPUs have started to appear in good quantities. Recently, NVIDIA is also reported to have started outsourcing its GDDR7 from SK Hynix apart from Samsung, which should further enhance availability.
