NVIDIA to give away the GeForce 8800 Ultra GPU to its fans through the GeForce Greats event, signed by CEO Jensen Huang.
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 Ultra Was The First CUDA GPU Launched Back in 2006, & Here's Your Chance To Win One Signed By CEO Jensen Huang
Yesterday NVIDIA announced the giveaway of the first-ever NVIDIA GPU, i.e., the GeForce 256. Today, it has announced another GPU for giveaway, which it claims to be the 'first' CUDA GPU from the company. In the latest post on X, the GeForce account posted a pic of a GeForce 8800 Ultra (which looks like a GeForce 8800 GTX) inside a box, signed by NVIDIA's CEO Jensen Huang.

The GeForce 8800 Ultra is technically the second CUDA GPU, which was launched in 2007 and followed the release of the GeForce GTX, which was the first actual CUDA GPU released in 2006. Nonetheless, the GeForce 8800 Ultra was a pinnacle of GPU innovation in 2007 and offered significant uplifts over its predecessors.
To this day, the GPU is known for its outstanding performance over previous generation GPUs and offers various key features for a premium gaming experience. It was based on the G80 architecture and supported DX 10. Its core specs included 128 Cuda Cores, a core clock of 612 MHz, and 768 MB of GDD3 memory on a wide 384-bit memory interface.
Getting your hands on one of such masterpieces is quite difficult now, particularly this one, which comes signed by the company's boss himself. NVIDIA said that it is going to announce three more GPUs in the coming days (one every day). These will be only 'Iconic' GPUs, which are remembered for their cutting-edge performance.
The GeForce 8800 Ultra isn't included in any of the already-revealed mystery boxes, which are part of GeForce Greats events, but we did see the CEO-signed GeForce 256 in the Diablo Mystery Box. To win the GeForce 8800 Ultra, you will have to comment #GeForceGreats under NVIDIA's thread on X. This will be the criteria for the rest of the upcoming GPU giveaways.
