NVIDIA is reported to have delayed the launch of the RTX 5060 series GPUs, as was rumored previously, and now we will see both the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 cards on shelves a month apart.
RTX 5060 Series Launch is Near but NVIDIA Reportedly Won't Give Enough Time to Watch Reviews for Early Buyers
Multiple media outlets have been reporting the same information about the RTX 5060 series, and it looks like NVIDIA is indeed going to delay the launch of the GPUs. As we previously reported, the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 will be delayed by a few weeks, and, contrary to previous reports that suggested a March launch for the RTX 5060 Ti GPU, it is now going to launch next month, i.e., April.
The Hong Kong media, HKEPC, has reported that NVIDIA has decided to introduce the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti (both 8 GB and 16 GB editions) in mid-April. The exact date will be 15th April and the GPUs will hit the shelves the next day. Surprisingly, NVIDIA isn't waiting even a day for the reviews to go live but is letting the GPUs sell the same day the reviews embargo will lift (9 pm Hong Kong time for both). If this is true, then it could be a messed-up launch since consumers usually check reviews before making up their minds.

Launching the GPUs on the same day doesn't give them time to conclude whether the GPUs will be worth the money or not. This is especially true when the RTX 50 series GPUs have always been scarce in the market, forcing consumers to stand in long queues or buy the GPUs from online retailers as soon as the embargo lifts. In a few minutes, the GPUs are out of stock and users will probably have to wait for weeks.
Nonetheless, this is how NVIDIA wants it to go, but it isn't clear whether the RTX 5060 launch will see the same stuff. The GeForce RTX 5060 will be introduced alongside the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB/16GB, but the retail launch is expected to occur in May. Previous reports indicate mid-May, which could mean the 15th or 16th of May.
One more interesting report is that NVIDIA is forcing its board partners to have at least one MSRP model on the launch. So, expect one base model from each of its partners, but most of the models will surely retail for higher prices, particularly the OC editions.
