The OneXPlayer G1 uses the 12-core Strix Point APU and features a small form factor to be used either as a gaming handheld or a mini gaming laptop.

The OneXPlayer G1 features a keyboard and dedicated controller for playing on an 8.8-inch display.

One-Netbook, the company behind many mini-PCs, OneXFly F1 Pro handheld, and external GPUs, is now preparing another gaming handheld named: "OneXPlayer G1". The handheld is a combination of a gaming handheld and a gaming laptop but offers a compact form factor that can be carried in a long pocket.

The company teased it in a recent YouTube video, but we have got more information from ITHome, which has provided clearer images of the handheld, revealing its design. It's going to use AMD's "Strix Point" Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, based on the Zen 5 architecture. The processor boasts a 12-core/24-thread configuration and has also been used in the OneXFly F1 Pro console, which the company recently launched.

This one, however, features a hybrid design that can act like both a gaming handheld and a mini-laptop with incredible computing power that fits your pocket. The display is an 8.8-inch IPS panel with a 2.5K resolution running at up to 144 Hz refresh rate. The device will harness the power of the RDNA 3.5-based Radeon 890M GPU, which is quite powerful enough to play modern games on medium to high settings.

One of the images shows that the OneXPlayer G1 scored a good 4159 points in Time Spy graphics, which is roughly 16% higher than the GTX 1650's score of 3585 points. The console boasts a regular keyboard with a form factor similar to a 60% keyboard and has dedicated joysticks, face buttons, and a D-Pad on top.

Due to the handheld's versatility, you can hide the controller completely and quickly get a full keyboard layout, thanks to the detachable Bluetooth dual-mode keyboard + virtual keyboard configuration along with dual joysticks. Both the joysticks and keyboard are RGB-backlit.

For connectivity, users can find the OCuLink, USB4 port, and a bunch of other peripheral ports for various uses. The device weighs around 900 grams, which is quite heavier than the traditional gaming handhelds we have on the market, but since it's bigger with dual set-ups, that was expected. There is currently no word on its pricing and availability, but based on the pricing of OneXFly F1 Pro, it could easily go up to $1500.
