We have good news for Oppo fans as the company executives have confirmed during the MWC 2024 that it is indeed returning to the European market. It will be launching its future Find series flagships in all the markets where it previously existed.
Oppo is finally returning to the international market, but we are going to have to wait for 2025 to see that happen
Not just that, Oppo is also entering a 3-year partnership with Telefonica group, as they will be helping the company return to the European markets. If you have been left wondering whether or not there will come a day when you will be able to get your hands on a Find flagship, this certainly is good news for you.
Now, the good news also comes with a hint of bad news. It appears that Oppo's current Find X7 Ultra will not be coming to international markets. This means that you are going to have to wait for the Find X8 series, which should launch sometime next year. The same goes for the Find N4 series of foldable phones that will be heading to the markets next year. The company will also introduce a lot of affordable phones in the Reno lineup that we will get to see.
The partnership with Telefonica means Oppo will start selling its devices through various carriers, including carriers in Spain, Germany, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. As far as the company's return to the United States is concerned, that is still something that we are not sure about.
The reason why Oppo is now returning to the international market is that the company has now settled its dispute with Nokia. Vivo is also playing nicely with Nokia, so it is safe to assume that Vivo smartphones could start popping up in the international markets pretty soon. What does this mean for the smartphone market as a whole? Well, the market's been lacking competition for the past couple of years, but it changes with today's news and we will be seeing some nice offerings from these companies. This will also urge the companies who play it safe to get up and start innovating and introducing better hardware.
