Previously we showed you the first press shot of the HTC Runnymede, which is similar to the HTC Titan WP7 phone with a 4.7" screen and a modest 1.5Ghz Single core processor. That was accompanied by 768MB of RAM, 16/32GB internal memory, 1600mAh battery and two cameras; front 1.3MP for video calling a rear 8MP camera which can shoot 720p at 60FPS. Previously some rumors stated that the Runnymede would arrive as the HTC Bass but now a new source says that the cell is indeed joining the flagship Sensation line as the XL.
This is a surprise since the Runnymede is not very similar to the Sensation line which currently includes the Sensation vanilla and Beats infused Sensation XE. The Runnymede/XL is only a single core whereas the Sensation and Sensation XE are 1.2Ghz and 1.5Ghz dual cores respectively. The RAM is uniform across the three devices and all sport 1.3/8MP cameras. Where the XL looses in processing power, it makes up with a larger screen at 4.7" compared to the other two's 4.2" screens.
We'll probably get to see the device at HTC's upcoming event in the UK. Other devices that might show up such as the HTC Vigor, HTC Beat and the HTC Explorer/Pico.
