Razer will reportedly launch a GeForce RTX 5060-based Blade 16 gaming laptop paired with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 processor, starting at $1999.
Razer Blade 16 Specsheet Leaked: RTX 5060 and RTX 5070 Configurations with 16 GB LPDDR5X Memory, and 1 TB SSD to Cost $1999 and $2399 Respectively
The GeForce RTX 5060 has yet to be launched for both desktop and laptop use. Some previous rumors indicated that the GPU may launch in March with a retail launch in April. We can't yet confirm these reports, but OEMs and vendors must already have been preparing for the launch, which can be seen in the latest leak.
One of the major laptop vendors, Razer, can be seen preparing for newer Blade 16 gaming laptop editions. Blade 16 is essentially a 16-inch gaming laptop with various configurations. The company has already released the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5070 Ti-based Razer Blade 16 models and is yet to ship the Blade 16 with the RTX 5070. The RTX 5070 was already launched at the beginning of this month, but it will take some time to appear on laptops.
The newly leaked spec sheet reveals both configurations: one with the RTX 5070 and the other one with the upcoming and unreleased RTX 5060. The GeForce RTX 5070-based Blade 16 is set to cost $2399 and will feature the Ryzen AI 9 365 processor, 1 TB SSD, and 16 GB LPDDR5X 8000 MT/s memory. With higher memory and storage, the cost will increase, and a similar configuration can be obtained on the Blade 16 with the GeForce RTX 5060 mobile GPU.
The RTX 5060-based Blade 16 is reported to start at $1999 with the same Ryzen AI 9 365 processor, 16 GB LPDDR5X 8000 MT/s RAM, and 1 TB NVMe SSD. The laptop will feature a 16-inch QHD+ display, featuring an OLED panel, and up to 240 Hz refresh rate. This display is the same across all laptop models, including Blade 16 with up to RTX 5090. The RTX 5060 and RTX 5070-based Blade 16 laptops will be quite similar in configuration to the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5080-based gaming laptops, except that the RTX 5080-based laptop has the option to choose 2 TB memory from the start and up to 64 GB memory.

Considering the cost of the RTX 5060 and RTX 5070-based laptops, it's worrying because NVIDIA promised that the price would start at $1,299 for the RTX 5070 configurations, and while it's understandable that the Blade 16 has some premium offerings like an OLED display, it's still twice as expensive as NVIDIA's announced MSRP.
That said, if you take a quick look at the RTX 4060-based gaming laptops, you will be able to find many such models at a sub-$1000 price tag, making the Razer Blade 16 with RTX 5060 incredibly low in value. Even the RTX 4070 gaming laptops are available at around $1500 from various vendors, making the $1999 price tag nonsense pricing.
