T-Mobile users find iPhone missing in delivery packages

Imagine being in a situation where you are waiting for your phone delivery to arrive, only to find that the delivery box is empty. How unfortunate the situation might be for both the customer and the company dispatching the delivery. Such has been the case for T-Mobile customers who were waiting anxiously for their iPhone deliveries, and when their delivery package arrived, to sheer disappointment, it was empty. Now, it turns out the issue is not limited to just one customer but extends to many other people who have also shared their frustration regarding the unusual circumstances.

T-Mobile is dealing with an unusual situation where the iPhones dispatched seem to go missing in transit, and customers are left with empty boxes

A T-Mobile user shared his frustration on Reddit about utilizing the trading option and trading in the iPhone 12 mini. Upon receiving the UPS delivery package, he found out that an empty box had been delivered without the iPhone, and it seemed like the phone had gone missing in transit. While the Redditor did report the issue to T-Mobile, the company representative put the user on a 2-week wait time, during which a Handset Research form has to be completed before any resolution is offered.

The Redditor then asked if anyone else experienced the same issue, and it turns out others are also dealing with this unfortunate situation. One of the users even expressed his dismay over not receiving the package at all and instead being charged for the phone that did not arrive in the first place. Many others went on to suggest that their phones got stolen right from the UPS warehouse, but unless T-Mobile has carried out its investigation fully, we can not say anything for certain. The customers' complaints are understandable as the whole situation is a huge inconvenience for them.

This is not the first time T-Mobile users have faced this kind of issue, as a similar complaint was filed by a T-Mobile subscriber last year when, instead of getting his iPhone 16, he got an empty box as well. This kind of situation is also not limited to T-Mobile alone, as AT&T users also had to deal with porch pirates stealing their iPhones. In order to avoid being in circumstances like these, it is better to opt for in-store purchases. A video proof of unboxing could also help resolve any disagreements on the missing phone. While such a situation is always exasperating, it puts added pressure on the network providers, who have to compensate for the mishaps.
