V-Color's new CUDIMM RAM kit can achieve a good 9000 MT/s speed on Intel's Z890 platform with XMP 3.0, improving V-Color's previous record noticeably.

V-Color Launches 32 GB x2 DDR5 O CUDIMM Kit for Intensive Workloads, Setting a New Benchmark for CUDIMM DDR5 Memories

V-Color has been at the forefront when it comes to producing fast DDR5 memories, particularly the CUDIMMs. Almost every month, we see someone break memory records with V-Color DDR5 kits, but the company hasn't stopped achieving better results.

Around the end of last year, overclockers achieved quite a success in pushing V-Color DDR5 kits, particularly the Manta XFinity CUDIMMs, to way over 10,000 MT/s. Now, even though the masses cannot achieve such speeds since it requires memory overclocking expertise, V-Color has launched its newest DDR5 O CUDIMM kit (Manta XFinity), featuring 64 GB memory capacity with two sticks of 32 GB RAM modules that can do the job for beginners.

Through intensive joint development and rigorous validation processes involving multiple motherboard manufacturers and close coordination with Intel, v-color successfully achieved optimal compatibility and stability on the latest Intel Core Ultra processors and Z890 chipset platforms. This collaborative approach ensures exceptional user experiences, pushing the limits of current generation computing technology and enabling professionals and enthusiasts to maximize the full potential of their systems.

- V-Color Technology

V-Color calls it the world's first 64 GB CUDIMM to reach 9000 MT/s and is specially designed for the Intel Z890 platform with Intel Core Ultra processors. The new kit can reach 9000 MT/s at 1.4V, with Gear 2 mode, but as per V-Color, this will still offer reduced latency while offering higher performance. Usually, Gear 2 mode is used for achieving higher frequencies but comes at the cost of latency, which is also an important factor that affects the performance but as per V-Color's testing, the memory kit achieved 9000 MT/s at CL48-64-64-140.

We don't know how much difference the Gear 1 mode will make in terms of latency, but the above latencies look satisfactory. The setup used comprised a Core Ultra 7 265K processor and MSI MEG Z890 Unify-X. The memory kit at the mentioned speed and timings did pass the RunMemtestPro tests, indicating good stability.

Even on budget motherboards like the MSI Pro Z890-P Wi-Fi that features 4x DIMMs, the memory kit was able to achieve 8800 MT/s with the same CL timings. This is the exact speed V-Color advertised when it first introduced this particular O CUDIMM kit in February this year, but that kit also comes with filler modules in case you want to fill up the leftover two DIMMs.

The newer V-Color Manta XFinity O CUDIMM DDR5 memory 64 GB kit will be available globally, starting Q2 2025. The kit will be available from various retailers, including V-Color's official website, Amazon, Newegg, and other authorized distributors.
