The Steam Deck and Deck OLED manufacturer, Valve, has today announced a brand-new edition of the Steam Deck OLED, featuring a white exterior. The Steam Deck OLED: White is a limited edition that will start selling on 18th November and will be available worldwide for Steam users.
As per the blog post, Steam Deck OLED White will be available for purchase at 3 PM PST on 18th November in regions, including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong via Komodo. The console will be available in other regions as well, including the US, CA, UK, EU, and AU, and will have the same launch date and time in Australia.
Due to being a limited edition, Valve has limited the quantity to one unit per account and the user must have made at least one purchase on Steam before November 2024. The company says that it has allocated the quantity proportionally across each region, but once the edition is sold out, there won't be more.

The Steam Deck OLED: Limited Edition White will have the same hardware configuration as the regular Steam Deck OLED, but it will only be available as a 1 TB model.
The regular one comes with either 512 GB or 1 TB. Hence, the price is set at $679, which is $30 more than the 1 TB black model. The rest of the specs will remain the same, including the APU, memory, connectivity, controls, battery, etc. Some of the features of the new model include:

- 1280 x 800 HDR OLED display with premium anti-glare etched glass
- 7.4 inches (diagonal)
- 6nm APU
- Wi-Fi 6E
- 50Whr battery; 3–12 hours of gameplay (content dependent)
- 45W power supply (2.5m cable + pouch included)
- Limited edition carrying case with removable liner
- Steam Profile Bundle (same as 1TB OLED model)
- Boot video (same as 1TB OLED model)
- Virtual keyboard theme (same as 1TB OLED model)
The Steam Deck OLED has been one of the best gaming handhelds since the console offers great performance per watt through its custom Zen 2-based chip and is fairly decent at playing PC titles. While the original Deck has an LCD screen, the Deck OLED is much superior in visuals and also has a slightly bigger screen. With a refresh rate of 90Hz, gaming on the handheld is fluid, and with a noticeable increase in battery life, it can allow users to play games for a few hours.
