Wccftech Awards '23

It's time to officially announce the winners of the Wccftech Awards' 23! This includes the best games released last year and the most anticipated titles due this year, as voted by our staff and community through polls based on our respective category lists.

Among the best games of 2023 (a historic year with a record number of highly acclaimed releases), Larian's Baldur's Gate 3 triumphs with four prizes: best RPG (staff and community) and Game of the Year (again, staff and community). Then there's CAPCOM's Street Fighter 6, which not only grabs the fighting game awards but also snatches the multiplayer game award from our staff.

Wonder (platform), RoboCop: Rogue City (shooter), and Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew (strategy and simulation).

Moving on to the most anticipated games coming in 2024, the only title to get more than two prizes was GSC Game World's STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, which won in the shooter categories (with the only unanimous vote in all of the staff polls) and in the community's most anticipated overall game poll.
