The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Speedrun takes Dev 25 Hours

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been touted for providing over 200 hours of playtime in order to experience everything that the massive open world RPG has to offer. In a time where single player campaigns provide anywhere between six to twelve hours of game time, that is quite a huge amount of content.

CD Projekt RED promised around 100 hours for the main game, with several more with the additional DLC, of which around 50 hours are centered around The Witcher 3' main storyline and the rest made up of several side quests. s

What about a speedrun though, how much time does the huge world of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt take to get through?

Gamereactor Germany has been told, that even the fastest of internal testers to 25 hours to complete the story, and that's with taking the best route and clicking through all the dialogue.

Taking into account that a game like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has to be enjoyed for its huge amount of content and the massive world available for players to explore at their leisure, there should be no reason to rush through everything, unless you've experienced the game through multiple playthroughs. Even then there could be something that was missed.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is undoubtedly one massive game, and certainly one of the most important titles of the year. Fans have been waiting for such a long time for the return of their favorite witcher, and it seems that the wait was worth it. With a continuous flow of information coming our way almost daily, each time we get more and more excited about the game. From the recent reveal of the full world map, we can definitely see that the world of The Witcher 3 is huge.
