XMG NEO 16 Go Online for Pre-Order, Starting at €2,699 for Intel and €2,649 for AMD Models, Featuring Intel Core Ultra 9 27HX, AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D, and 995HX3D

Laptop manufacturer, XMG, which introduced its Intel-based NEO 16 gaming laptop at CES, is now taking pre-orders for its gaming laptop. This time, the company has expanded the NEO 16 lineup by adding more configurations, introducing the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX and the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D "Fire Range" processors.

The inclusion of AMD Fire Range CPUs adds noticeably more performance, particularly in gaming with the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D, which boasts an additional L3 cache. Now, the total number of configurations will be based on the processor models and will feature different RTX 50 series GPUs, such as RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5070 Ti.

In NEO 16, the GPUs will be configured at up to 175W of TGP for the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, and up to 140W for the RTX 5070 Ti. The model with the RTX 5090 and Ryzen 9 9955HX3D will be the fastest configuration available on the market and will offer 24 GB of VRAM for intensive titles and select graphical workloads.

XMG has redesigned the air cooling system of NEO 16 and has introduced an improved XMG OASIS that brings water cooling for excellent thermals. The cooling system now brings larger copper heat sinks, combining them with copper heat pipes to improve heat dissipation. The 60mm fans also saw an upgrade to 80mm and a third 47mm fan was also added for cooling the system RAM.

XMG NEO 16 will be available with two different 16:10 display choices: One is the 300 Hz IPS panel with a 1600p resolution and the other is a more premium Mini LED panel with the same resolution but with double the brightness compared to the IPS one (1000 Nits in HDR vs 500 Nits). While both IPS and Mini LED panels will boast a 100% sRGB color space, the latter will also include a 100% DCI-P3 color space for vibrant colors.
