The latest world record for achieving the highest memory speed goes to XPG LANCER RGB DDR5, achieved on the Gigabyte Z890 AORUS Tachyon ICE.

Hicookie Beats His Previous Record by Achieving Higher Memory Speed by Transitioning from V-Color to XPG LANCER Memory

The world-class overclocker "Hicookie" has successfully broken his previous as well as all the records of the highest DDR5 memory speeds. The overclocker has been pushing DDR5 memory speeds to way over 12,000 MT/s for months and has successfully found the highest speed by using the XPG LANCER RGB DDR5 memory.

The overclocker has previously broken many world records using the V-Color Manta XFinity DDR5 memory on the Intel Z890 platform. This included his incredible 12,726 MT/s memory speed with the V-Color DDR5 memory, which utilized liquid nitrogen cooling. The configuration was identical to the previous setup, including the Gigabyte Z890 AORUS Tachyon ICE and the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor.

Through efforts and dedication, Hicookie broke the world record by just changing the memory to XPG LANCER RGB DDR5. The user deployed nitrogen cooling on it as well, which is necessary due to higher temperatures. Hicookie hasn't shared the cache latency timings for 12,762 MT/s speed, but previously he died and achieved 12,726 MT/s with CL68-127-127-254.

The latency is identical in this test as well and this affects the memory performance even though the memory reaches a higher speed. However, achieving higher memory clocks is solely done as a hobby and not necessarily to impact real-world applications.

ADATA has proudly boasted about the latest results achieved by Hicookie on its official website since XPG is its gaming brand that produces memories and storage devices. ADATA says that this was achieved through the integration of Gigabyte's machine learning and AI during the development phase. In order to maintain stability at such high speeds, Gigabyte identified the parameters and optimized the settings through this phase.

As far as XPG LANCER DDR5 memory is concerned, it's equipped with high-quality PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) chips and ECC (Error Correction Code). The memory supports both XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO to achieve speeds ranging from 6000 MT/s to 8000 MT/s and is available in various capacities, such as 16 GB, 24 GB, 32 GB, and 48 GB.
